It was
about 10 p.m. on a Thursday night in 1980, when the stranger stumbled through the front
door of Dillman's Restaurant. Upon one look, bartender Mike Moore knew the stranger was
too drunk to be served and ordered him out. After a while the drunk reappeared through
Dillman's side door, which used to be located on Balboa Boulevard, and was once again
repelled. |
Within a
half hour of his first appearance, the drunk made his third and final unwanted curtain
call through Dillman's parking lot door. And of course was immediately ordered out by
Mike, to which the drunk asked, "Do you work in every bar in this town?" |
