Newport Beach Salutes Local Artists

Newport Beach, CA (October 12, 2004) – Each year the Newport Beach City Arts Commission hosts a showcase promoting the wealth of community talent in the annual Salute to the Arts, a Fine Art and Photography Exhibition. To submit work for judging in this exhibition, artists must bring entry application and their two –dimensional artwork to Oasis Senior Center on Saturday, October 30 between the hours of 9 and 10 a.m. and pick the work up again at 1p.m. the same day.  Awards ranging from $50 - $400 will be presented at a special reception on November 19 at City Hall.

 

 To be considered, artists must be at least 18 years of age and residents of, or have a business located in Newport Beach. Each artist is permitted three entries of original art or photography completed within 36 months prior to exhibit. There is an entry fee of $17 per artist. Entry applications can be picked up at City Hall, Oasis Senior Center or at any Newport Beach Public Library.
